About Our IBM Atlanta QCC Club

Our club was formed many years ago to promote social and community activities for current and former IBM employees with 25 years of service or more. Our club receives no funding from or sponsorship by IBM. We do thank IBM for allowing us to use the Hillside auditorium for our annual meetings.

Our purpose is to enjoy one another's companionship while participating in our many social and volunteer activities.

We recruit new members from the recently inducted QCC list provided by IBM Atlanta. However, we rely heavily on our membership to encourage eligible IBMers to join our Club. We also count on all members to contribute their ideas, suggestions, and their time for volunteer activities.

Membership is voluntary and while you must qualify as an IBM Quarter Century employee, membership in the Atlanta QCC is not an automatic extension of IBM's 25 year qualification. You must join our chapter and pay the annual dues which are currently $10.00 per year.

QCC Annual Dues

Renewal dues are now overdue and should be paid in order to remain "active" in our club.

You may choose not to renew and to become "inactive". Inactive QCCers will still be able to access the website; they will receive a monthly news bulletin to make them aware of what we are doing and to invite them to return. What they won't be able to do is access the online directory. Inactive members can participate in any QCC activity by rejoining for only $10.00. They may also volunteer and help us with causes such as MedShare and the ING marathon.

So, we never forget you even if you decide to remain inactive. We'll stay in touch and keep you informed, but, on a monthly basis via e-mail or anytime on the website.

To reactivate your membership at any time in 2009, simply send your check for $10.00 made out to "Atlanta Chapter IBM QCC". In the memo area, write "2009 Dues". Send your check to:

Atlanta Chapter IBM QCC
P. O. Box 1193
Woodstock, GA 30188

You can verify whether we have processed your dues by opening the online directory (click the Directory button on the left) and verify your information, particularly your home address, phone number and e-mail address, so that we in the club can stay in touch with you. Please e-mail any changes to Bob Slaney. You may also write Bob or any other board member with questions about dues or your membership status.

If you are inactive and have not renewed, we'd be interested in knowing why. Perhaps you have some suggestions to improve the club. We'd like to hear from you. Please e-mail Bill Clements.
